The Pilgrims' Way is a historic network of ancient tracks, primarily following the North Downs in Southern England, used by medieval pilgrims journeying from Winchester (or London) to the shrine of Saint Thomas Becket at Canterbury Cathedral for spiritual healing, famously documented in Chaucer's tales. The design uses a hand-drawn Scallop Shell as a universal symbol of pilgrimage.
